FarmVille Podcast - April 25th!

Hey Farmers and welcome to this week’s installment of the Official FarmVille Podcast! My name is Lexilicious and I am here to bring you all of the latest news and information about FarmVille from Zynga. This week we’ll be talking about the recent revisions made to the Gift Box and Marketplace, including the ability to sell multiple items at once and the addition of the new “Search” feature. We’ll also talk about the Pig Pen revamp, the refreshed truffle hunting feature, and we’ll also have a sneak peak of what’s coming up in FarmVille.

Many of you have already been taking advantage of the most recent additions to the Gift Box and Marketplace but for those of you who have not yet discovered the joy of the new Search Function or the ability to sort your gift box by category, here is a quick explanation of our latest release.
In a nutshell, the Gift Box has been revised to make it a much more friendly experience! Items in the Gift Box can now be sorted into categories and the interface is faster than ever before. The base functionality of the gift box remains the same, but you can click on the different Filters to sort everything by that item type. To easily look through the contents of the Gift Box, just click on the arrow on the right or left, which will flip through the pages of your inventory.

The new Gift Box also has Search functionality, which you can see in the upper right-hand portion of the Gift Box window. Simply click on the white box then type in what you want to search for. Finally, if you need to clear out some stuff from your Gift Box, we’ve eliminated the need to keep clicking Sell if you have a ton of one item. Now if you have more than one of the same item and click Sell, you can use the up and down arrows to determine how many of these items you want to sell all at once. You can also enter in a number by clicking on the “1” and putting in whatever number you want to sell.

Search functionality has also been added to the Marketplace, and it works very much the same way as the gift box. Now if you need to find something in the Market, you can just type it in and FarmVille will find it quickly!
As you can see, the Search box is available in the upper right-hand portion of the Market window. It’ll always show up there no matter what part of the Market you are currently in. click on the white box, and type in something to search for.

As you start putting in letters FarmVille automatically sorts through and finds what you have selected, so you can see the choices narrow as you enter in more letters.

As of Friday night, we have also made some big changes to Pig Pens and Truffle Hunting. Previously, Pig Pens were great storage for your little four legged friends and they allowed you to hunt for Truffles. However, our latest release has introduced the long awaited Pig Breeding feature! You can start making new piglets immediately if you have a Pig Pen on either your Home Farm or your English Countryside farm. If you don’t have a Pig Pen, don’t worry! We’ll give you another one for free.If you have one already built, you’ll get a free boar as a prize.

Now, breeding new pigs is a lot like breeding new sheep. Click on your completed Pig Pen, and then choose “Look Inside” to see the new Pig Pen interface. If your Pig Pen is empty, you’ll need a boar and a pig to start breeding, the result of which is a piglet, which once fully grown will take on some of the characteristics of the parents, such as colors and perhaps the patterns. More than likely there will be some variation in the colors, depending on the colors of the parents. The pattern can only be inherited from the boar, but if both parents have the same pattern, the chance of pattern inheritance is much higher.

Now let's start breeding. Click on the boar you want to breed with and select the option to breed. Once you have done this, the pigs you can breed with the boar will be highlighted in the Pig Pen interface. Click on the pig you want to breed with and you’ll see the Breeding window. Breeding a new pig is a 24 hour process with a 50% success rate. This means that if you’re not successful, you will have to start all over again. However, you can improve your chance of success (and decrease the amount of time it takes to breed) by using Love Potions. The more love potions you use, the higher your success rate will be. You can acquire Love Potions from your Neighbors or by purchasing them with Farm Cash.

You can use the up and down arrows to choose how many Love Potions you want to spend. If you don’t have enough, you’ll be prompted to buy more. When you’re satisfied with your chances, select the option to breed. The stall at the upper left will become occupied and their places in the Pig Pen pasture will be replaced with helpful signs. If there’s a timer, a clock in the stall will show how much time is left to go. Now, with any luck, you’ve bred a new piglet! You can choose to name your piglet, choose to Give it Away or you can keep it.

Once placed on your farm, a piglet can be fully grown using 10 Baby Bottles. You can acquire Baby Bottles from the your neighbors, the free gifts page, or from the Market for Farm Cash. Once you’ve applied 10 Bottles the piglet will grow into an adult boar or pig.

Currently boars only come in two different patterns; plain and spotted. As noted above, the colors available for pig breeding is a somewhat random process, based on the colors and patterns of the parents used. Each color a parent possesses has a certain color range that can be applied to the Pig in question, so you never really know what you’re going to get.

And as with Sheep Pens, there is a limit as to how many bred boars and pigs you can have on each farm at any one time. The limit is 100, which includes all bred pigs on that particular farm, in that farm’s Pig Pen, and in the Gift Box. This is per farm, so you can have up to 100 for each the Home Farm and the English Countryside farm.

We’ve also streamlined the way truffle hunting works, and we’ve revised the rewards you get for redeeming truffles! With the addition of breeding, Pig Slop has been removed from FarmVille. If you still have some in your Gift Box or elsewhere, go ahead and get rid of it. Going forward, when you click to harvest your Pig Pen, you’ll start your only truffle hunt of the day. The pig chosen to hunt with is completely random, as is the neighbor’s farm you can find the truffle on.

If you find a truffle, you’ll see a pop up prompting you to share the truffle with that neighbor. Clicking Share will ask you to make a post to their wall, informing them of your discovery. They can then respond by returning the same type of truffle to you by posting on your wall.

Again, this will be the only truffle hunt of the day; once your Pig Pen is ready to be harvested again, you can try for another truffle hunt. The prizes for redeeming a truffle have been heavily revised. You can get building parts, bottles, love potions, and all sorts of other treats (including other animals) by redeeming truffles now.

Finally, Pig Pens now visually show which pigs you have in it, similar to Sheep Pens. The pigs you put in last show up in each of the 3 stalls as well as the mud yard in front of the pen.

Now, we know that the introduction of a new animal to breed has sparked some concern that there will be an insufficient amount of Love Potions to go around for both sheep and pigs. That’s why, for a limited time, all farmers will be able to craft love potions in their Pubs. In addition to this, you will also be able to craft bricks in your bakeries, wooden boards in your spas, and nails in your winery.

On that note, let’s go ahead and get into the coming soon segment of this week’s podcast. First up, we have an addition coming in the near future that many of our players will be excited to see. Soon, your Chicken Coop, Dairy Barn, Pig Pen, Turkey Roost, Duck Pond and Animal Trough will be rotatable, like many of the other buildings in the game.

And lastly, we are also planning on increasing the Bushel Limit for all of our farmers. Soon, you will be able to store an additional 25 bushels for every additional stall you have on your farm after your first.

Alright folks, that’s it from me this week. Again, my name is Lexilicious and I will be back on May 6th to bring you all of the latest news and information about FarmVille from Zynga!

Happy Farming Everybody!

FarmVille Podcast - March 25th!

Hey Farmers and welcome to this weeks installment of the Official FarmVille Podcast! My name is Lexilicious and I am here to bring you all of the latest news and information about FarmVille from Zynga. So this week we will be doing things a little different. This week, our podcast is a special English Countryside themed podcast! We will be walking you through the beginning of your adventure on the English Countryside as well as answering some of the most frequently asked questions from the community about our latest release. Just so everyone knows, our podcast will be resuming its normal format and schedule on April 8th.

Now, FarmVille English Countryside adds an all-new chapter to the game you know and love. For our players who have not yet had a chance to look, FarmVilles latest launch adds all kinds of new farming fun set against the backdrop of the beautiful English Countryside.

In FarmVille English Countryside, players travel with an English duke back to his homeland where the village farms have fallen into disrepair. Youll receive new land to apply your expert farming skills to and be in charge of getting the English farm in ship shape. FarmVille English Countryside also features all new crops and buildings, sheep breeding, new characters and premium English soil that will allow you to master your crops faster!

Today, we are going to go through some of these things, but first we want to talk to you about how you can get to your new farm.

Now, the only real requirement you need to begin your journey to England is that you need to be Level 20. As soon as you hit Level 20 youll see a pop-up informing you to look up at the sky, followed by a short movie of the Duke crashing his airship on your farm. The duke will promptly present a deed to your new farm in England!

Clicking on Place Airship will immediately put you into Placement Mode. You can choose to place the damaged Airship on your farm now, or you can place it in your Gift Box for use later. Note that placing the Airship (which triggers the quests) is completely optional. If youd rather not bother with England right now, you can keep the Airship in your Gift Box and pull it out when youre ready.

When you do decide to place it, youll be launched into the first quest. If you dont see the quest window pop up, you can always find the quest icon on the left-hand side of the screen. Usually each quest has between two and four objectives that need to be met in order to complete it. Many objectives can be skipped by paying Farm. As an objective is completed, a green check mark will appear next to it. You can close the quest window at any time by clicking on Okay at the bottom of the window. Once all of the objectives for that quest are completed a reward consisting of a set of prizes will be awarded to the player. This can include XP, coins, and a special item or two. If you havent done so already, click on the quest icon to bring up the quest window.

For your first task, the Duke needs something heavy to hold down his airship. This first quest has just one objective: buy three crates and simply place them on your farm. Click Buy, and then place it on your farm by clicking on an open spot. Youll see the Progress! banner open up next to the quest icon, which indicates youve made progress in the quest.

For your next quest, the Duke wants to bring you back to England to see the new farm, but the Airship has sustained some damage. Cotton will be needed to help patch it up.

This quest deals entirely with planting the Cotton only (not harvesting it). Simply plant 50 plots of Cotton by hand or with a vehicle and the quest will automatically complete. After planting your cotton, you will have another quest similar to the ones I just described. Now, youre ready to go for England, so its time to throw a party and all of your neighbors can be invitedthe more you get to come, the faster itll take for you to be able to leave. Click on the quest icon to start the Bon Voyage quest and invite your Neighbors to see you off.

Click on the Invite Friends button to start inviting your neighbors. When they accept, the meter on the left will begin to fill, and their avatars will show up at the party. Now remember folks, to travel to England, you need the help of existing friends. You do not need to add any new neighbors.

Once you get four neighbors, youll see a 4-day countdown timer show up underneath the Bon Voyage Party banner at the top of the window. If you manage to get 15 neighbors, the countdown timer will decrease by 2 whole days or will hit zero (whichever is better for you). Getting 35 will instantly zero the countdown timer. Alternatively, you can always pay Farm Cash to skip this requirement.

Once the countdown timer reaches zero you can travel to your English farm by clicking the go to England button at the top of the screen.
When youre in England you can come back to your Home Farm at any time. Note that when you are on one farm, the other farm is pausedthat is to say, all timers are stopped. Your crops will not wither on a paused farm, but they will not grow either. A neighbor can only visit whichever farm you are currently active on; they cannot visit a paused farm.

Now that you are in the English Countryside, you are probably going to want to know how far along your neighbors are and where you are in comparison. Or maybe, you want to help them with their quests but are unsure of how to do this.

Well, thats what the handy Village Map is for! This map displays where you are in the English Countryside quests and where all your neighbors are so you can track your progress, see if someone is stuck, and what you can do to help them out.
All you need to do is go to your English farm. Now look at the buttons at the lower right-hand portion of the FarmVille game window. The map icon shows up as the default option where the Co-Op button used to be.

The Village Map shows a path of quests leading from the Sheep Pen at the start through a series of mystery buildings. It highlights which quest you and your neighbors are currently on. As you progress in the English Countryside quests, the mystery buildings will be revealed one by one until youre done!
You can help your neighbors by moving your mouse over their profile image. A pop-up will show, displaying the name of the neighbor and a Get Help button. Click on that button and youll get a prompt to post a feed to their wall, giving them a specific item to help them out on their quest.

If there are more than three neighbors for each major quest area youll see a text link showing how many more neighbors at that area (for example, if there are 9 neighbors in one area, there will be 3 profile images and a +6 others notice). Clicking on that text will show you a new window displaying all of the neighbors in that quest area. From there you can easily click on which neighbors you want to help.

If youve already used this function to help out a neighbor youll see a message stating that youve already helped out that neighbor today. If you come back the next day you can post another feed to their wall. The neighbors can be ahead of you or behind you in the quest path; it doesnt matter where they are in relation to which quest youre on.
In our next podcast, we will be giving a quick walkthrough about Sheep Pens, but for now, we want to answer some frequently asked questions from the community regarding the new English Countryside release.

First up. Do I have to go to England?

The answer to this one is simple. No! You dont have to complete any of the quests and you can continue on your own farm any time you want. We want you to go to England to experience all the new features, items, and quests but you dont have to.

Is storage universal? Can I transfer items between farms?

Currently, Storage is not universal between farms. Each farm has its own individual unique storage space. Once an item is placed on one farm, it cannot be moved to the other farm.

Now you may be asking what about my Gift Box?

Many items stored in the Gift Box can be placed/used on either farm. This includes many decorations, buildings and animals. Unique quest items, collections, and certain consumables may only be used on one of the farms, depending on the item. This also means purchases made from the Model Farm, which go straight into the Gift Box, can then be added to whichever farm you wish. Once you place that item, however, it cannot be moved to the other farm.

Where can I get a ram to start sheep breeding?

You can get a ram by starting the Sheep Pen quests on your English Farm; by completing them, you will get you Brutus the Ram, which you can breed with. Other rams can be acquired by purchase in the Market or through your neighbors feeds if they are sharing newly bred rams.

And lastly, one of our most commonly asked questions so far how come I cant sheep breed on my Home Farm yet?

Currently, Sheep Breeding is only available in the English Countryside, however well be adding this ability at some point in the future for players who have mastered their English Farms.

Alright folks! Well thats it from me this week. Again, my name is Lexilicious and we hope this special podcast was helpful for our listeners! I will be back to bring you all the latest news and information about FarmVille on April 8th. As always, please remember to come share your thoughts and opinions about the English Countryside release with us on the Official FarmVille forums.

Happy Farming everybody!

This week, we will be discussing our latest releases and everyone will be getting a sneak peek of things coming to FarmVille in the near future.

Now, before we get into discussing all of our latest releases, I would like to give a quick thank you to all of the players who participated in our Valentine’s Day Dessert Contest. We challenged everyone to bring FarmVille to life with ovens, flour and just a sprinkle of creativity. Well Farmers, you rose to the challenge like true baking champions. The cooks in our Dessert Contest whipped up some of the most creative, edible and romantic works of art we've ever seen. Choosing the winners of this contest was no easy task, but after much deliberation, the FarmVille Team decided upon the most imaginative, delicious and well presented FarmVille desserts. If you would like to check out our winning entries, please visit the official Farmville forums and congratulations again to our winners who will be walking away with 1000 Farm Cash and 1,000,000 Coins. Latest Releases
So this week was loaded with more great items from the Limited Edition Fairy Tale theme like the Black Dragon and Castle Ruins, but we also know that everyone was working hard to collect gold from those Leprechaun cottages. Well, the wait is over and the Pot of Gold is now available! Just put your collected Gold Pieces into it and then redeem them for St. Patrick’s Day-themed unique prizes!

FarmVille Pot of Gold Guide

You’ll get your somewhat empty-looking Pot of Gold for free the first time you play FarmVille after the update, and you will immediately be entered into Placement Mode. You can place the Pot of Gold on your farm now, or you can choose to place it in your Gift Box for use later by switching to the Multi-Tool.

Once the Pot of Gold is on the farm you can click on it, then select “Look Inside” to view your progress menu.

The Pot of Gold works like many of our other item-gathering events in FarmVille. You acquire Gold Pieces through various methods, then “Use” them to place them in your Pot of Gold. As you accumulate these items you can redeem them for exclusive items.

There are five different types of Gold pieces that you can acquire by harvesting your Leprechaun’s Cottage, harvesting a Neighbor’s Leprechaun’s Cottage, requesting Gold pieces from your Neighbors directly, from your feed and by purchasing them with Farm Cash. You can purchase 5 Gold pieces at a time by clicking on the “Buy gold” button for 5 Farm Cash.

As you put Gold Pieces in your Mailbox you’ll see the gold coin meter on the left fill up. The physical look of the pot also changes as you stuff it full of gold. You can also click on the “Comparison” tab to compare how many Valentines you’ve accumulated compared to your neighbors.
To get one of the special exclusive prizes, simply click on the “Redeem” button next to the prize you want—if you have enough gold (the available amount of gold that is redeemable is at the top of the window) you’ll be asked to confirm the purchase.

If you hit “Accept” the prize will be stored in your Gift Box and you can share an extra prize with your friends. Now, unlike a few of our previous item-gathering events, there will not be a second page of exclusive prizes added. These six items are pretty much it for this event.

If you have any questions on how this feature works or would like to share any feedback with us, please make sure to visit the FarmVille forums to view our official guides and share your thoughts and opinions with the FarmVille Team.

COMING SOON IN FARMVILLE

And on that note, let’s go ahead and get into the coming soon segment of this week’s podcast. Now, we know everyone is excited about the upcoming release of FarmVille English Countryside. In the English Countryside, you’ll get a second farm with access to new crops, new items, and all kinds of fun activities we know you’re going to love! The FarmVille team is busy putting the final touches on the project so keep your eyes peeled on the English Countryside fan page for sneak peeks and more details on this exciting launch.

In addition to the upcoming English Countryside release, the new Spring Garden will be making an appearance in FarmVille in the near future. The Spring Garden must be constructed with the help of your Neighbors and will not only be a beautiful decoration for your Farm, but it can also be harvested for eggs or flowers that you will be able to redeem for special items in the future.

The Spring Countdown will also be starting in the coming weeks and will be accompanied by the release of our new Mardi Gras theme. This theme will feature some of your favorite items from last year as well as some great new additions to display on your farm. If you have any ideas for items you would like to see in our upcoming theme, please make sure to visit the Official FarmVille Forums or leave a comment for us on the podcast.

Alright folks, well that’s it from me this week. Again, my name is Lexilicious and I will be back on march 18th to bring you all of the latest news and information about FarmVille from Zynga.

FarmVille Podcast - Feb 18th!

Hey Farmers and welcome to this week’s installment of the Official FarmVille Podcast. My name is Stumpgrinder, and I am here to bring you the latest news and information about FarmVille from Zynga. This week we will be discussing our latest releases and give you all a sneak peak of what’s coming to FarmVille in the near future.

On Thursday we released the Wishing Well, a cool new item that you can toss in a Lucky Penny, build up new special collections and redeem special rewards! Here’s how it works: the next time you play FarmVille after it updates you’ll get the Wishing Well for free. Since you’re automatically put into Placement Mode you can place the Wishing Well on your farm now, or simply choose to place it later by putting it in your Gift Box (just switch to the Multi-Tool to do this quickly).

Once you place the Wishing Well click on it, choose “Look Inside” and the Wishing Well window will pop up. Every time you throw a Lucky Penny into the Wishing Well, something will pop back out, depending on which Collection you’re working on. You’ll start off with the St. Patrick’s Day Collection, which is Level 1. You’ll see there are six different items you’ll need to collect in order to complete the collection and move on to the next level. You won’t know which item will come out, however, as it’s totally random.

Everyone starts off with one Lucky Penny. Click on the green “Throw Lucky Penny” button at the center of the window to start. You’ll see the penny get tossed into the well and one of the six collection items pop back out. If you don’t have any Lucky Pennies, you’ll see two other buttons instead: “Ask for More” and “Buy Pennies”.

Here’s how you can give and receive Lucky Pennies: Asking your neighbors directly for Lucky Pennies by clicking on “Ask For More”, giving Lucky Pennies to your neighbors via the Free Gifts page, and spending five (5) Farm Cash (click on the “Buy Pennies” button) for five (5) Lucky Pennies. There is also the possibility of getting extra Lucky Penny bonuses when you throw (which can also be shared).

Check marks will appear next to the boxes for those items you collect. Note that these are not actual in-game items that show up in the Gift Box or anything (they work a lot like ordinary collections). You can get multiple numbers of the same items, but you’ll only get XP for each Lucky Penny toss you make.

Once you get all six items in that Collection, the “Throw Lucky Penny” button will grey out and the “Claim Reward” button at the lower right will appear underneath the Collection prize. Click the button to collect that prize (it’ll go into your Gift Box) and then you’ll move on to the next level. There are four Collection levels altogether.

Note you may also get a random bonus that can appear during a Lucky Penny toss. This bonus will show up in the Bonus box on the right, and usually consists of getting a few extra Lucky Pennies. The bonus is applied (one time only) as soon as you get it.

Being a new feature we want to know what you think about the Wishing Well, so please tell us what you think in our Official FarmVille forums.

We wanted to remind everyone that the Valentine’s Countdown is going to be ending soon, so if you haven’t gotten your daily prizes yet be sure to play FarmVille and see which ones you are missing. Just click on the heart icon at the upper right-hand portion of the FarmVille window to see what’ve gotten and what you need to get.

In the last few weeks we’ve released a number of Valentine’s Day and Lunar New Year Limited Edition theme items, and we’re currently releasing the much anticipated Fairy Tale theme which many of you really like. Speaking of which, we’re asking about your opinions about upcoming themes like Mardi Gras and St. Patrick’s Day in our Official Feedback forum, so be sure to stop by if you have a great idea!

Coming Soon Section
Now with news on what’s coming up in FarmVille. As some of you may have seen in the last few weeks, we’ve been teasing about the exciting FarmVille English Countryside feature via billboards and postcards in FarmVille and now we’re ready to reveal more.

With FarmVille English Countryside you’ll get the opportunity to start and play on a second farm, set in the English countryside. This farm will feature special soil which will help master your crops faster than ever before. In addition, the English countryside will be populated with friendly characters, like Agatha, your neighbor. They will help guide your play and present special activities and challenges.

FarmVille English Countryside will grant you access to all new crops, buildings, and much more that we will be revealing soon. While players Level 20 and above will be able to get access to FarmVille English Countryside, you can help junior farmers prepare for their journey by sending them materials and teaching them how to make their visit.

Latest FarmVille Podcast - 4 Feb 2011

Here is the Latest FarmVille Podcast as released on 4 Feb 2011.

FarmVille Podcast Transcription - Feb 4th!:

Hey Farmers and welcome to this week’s installment of the Official FarmVille Podcast! My name is Grimwell and I am here to bring you all of the latest news and information about FarmVille from Zynga. This week, we will be discussing our latest releases, and everyone will be getting a sneak peek of things coming to FarmVille in the near future.

So today, we released the brand new Green House feature. Please be aware that this feature was originally teased in our last podcast as the Glass House, but has had a bit of a name change since then. Since the Greenhouse is brand new, I would like to give a quick explanation of this feature for everyone.

The Greenhouse is a multi-level constructible building that you can use to create up to ten new Masterable crop breeds. The bigger the Greenhouse, the higher the amount of seeds you can start to produce.

First off, let’s not confuse the new Greenhouse with the old one that was available in the Market; the old Greenhouse has been renamed Glasshouse and had no actual functionality. Similarly, the Cube Greenhouse, available exclusively through FarmVille Mobile, is merely a decoration.

Everyone will get the new Greenhouse for free the first time the play after FarmVille updates, and you will immediately be entered into Placement Mode. You can place the Greenhouse frame on your farm now, or you can choose to place it in your Gift Box for use later.

The new Greenhouse is a multi-level constructible building. Each level requires a certain amount of building parts to complete and each level allows the use of more seeding trays. For details on how many parts are required and how many trays can be used per level, please visit the “Game Updates” section of the FarmVille Forums.

Now, like many constructible building parts, you can acquire these items via neighbor requests, the free gifts page, Special Delivery Boxes and Farm Cash.
As you complete each level of the Greenhouse, it will become visually bigger and grander. Now, if you do not get the Greenhouse initially or wind up accidentally deleting it, you can purchase it in the Market under the Buildings tab.

To see what the Greenhouse can offer, just click on it on your farm and choose “Look Inside” from the menu options to see the Nursery display. Here, you can find and use the right seed combinations to produce one of the new crops. Just click on the “Place a Seed” display and you’ll see a mini-Market display showing twenty familiar crops.. Once you enter in the right two-crop combination, you’ll be told what the new crop will be and you’ll be deducted the cost listed under each crop. If you enter in the wrong combination you’ll get an error message.

Experimenting to create new crops will take time. However, if you click on the “Ask Friends For Help” button, you can speed up this process. Each Friend you get to help will reduce the experimentation time by a day. You can also speed up the process by using Farm Cash.

Once the experimentation process is over the clock will be replaced with an image of a new seed packet. Click on “Harvest” and you’ll be rewarded with a new super-enhanced crop.

Each time you finish experimentation you’ll get fifty seeds of this new crop, which are placed in your Market. You’ll also be able to share this new crop with your friends. As you expand the Greenhouse, you’ll get access to additional seed trays so you can experiment with more special crops at the same time.

Remember, you can experiment with any combination of special crops, there’s no restriction as to which you can try out. There will be a green “Ready” label over the ones that are ready to be harvested.

Clicking on the “Seed Genealogy” button will bring you to the genealogy display, where you can see all of the special crops available for experimenting. You can learn more about these special crops as well as how far along your Mastery of these crops are (yes they can be Mastered!) by moving your mouse over the crop image.

Now, the Greenhouse is a big release, so as per usual, we are looking for your feedback. Please make sure to visit the official FarmVille forums if you have an opinion about our latest update that you would like to share. And since we have a lot of really exciting news for you guys this week, let’s go ahead and jump into the coming soon segment of this week.

First up is something that I know our community has been waiting very patiently for. 28 x 28 Expansion will be released next week for coins! This expansion was originally going to be crafted into a new feature, which is the reason for the delay. However, the FarmVille Team decided that this feature was ultimately not as enjoyable for our players as it should be, so it will be released as normal next week. We would like to thank everyone for their patience with us so far and we are very excited for this upcoming release.
Along with the expansion, we will also be introducing the ability to collect watering Cans from Orchards. We have heard tons of feedback from users that Watering Cans are too scarce. In the near future, when you collect from your Orchard and do not receive a Seedling, you will receive two watering cans and an additional can that can be shared with up to 10 of your Neighbors.

And lastly, we will soon be introducing special new crops that will award extra experience points and more coins than normal crops.
And before I get out of here, I want to quickly inform everyone that the ability to harvest watering cans from snowmen has been re-enabled for an additional 3 weeks. If you have deleted your Snowmen, please contact Zynga Customer Service and they will restore your Snowmen for you.

Alright folks, well that’s it from me this week! Again, my name is Grimwell, and I would like to thank everyone for tuning in this week. Lexilicious will be back on February 18th to bring you all of the latest news from around the farm.

Happy Farming everybody!

These podcasts include the recent releases, answers to user-submitted questions and an exclusive sneak peak into FarmVille's future, however these podcasts are prone to be delayed due to various aspects. FarmVille Podcast Complete Transcription - June 18, 2010
Here is the complete transcription of FarmVille Podcast released on June 18, 2010:-
Hey Farmers, and welcome to this week’s installment of the Official FarmVille Podcast! My name is Lexilicious and I am here to bring you all of the latest news and information about FarmVille from Zynga. This week, we have been very busy with all of the new updates and releases, so this week’s podcast is going to be a little shorter than usual. I am going to give you guys a quick re-cap of our latest releases and of course, you guys will all be getting a sneak peek of things coming to FarmVille in the future.

So this week proved to be another very exciting week for FarmVille, with tons of new highly requested features and Limited Edition items being released.

Much to the excitement of many of our higher level players, On Tuesday we raised the level cap. Levels 70 through 90 were released, along with new high level crops, items and gifts. All of the new crops are level 50 and above and some require previous crops to be mastered before they can be unlocked. Now, if you have some high level friends, make sure to ask them for some of the great new high level gifts like the Dutch Rabbit and the Mangrove Tree.

More Limited Edition Island themed items were also released, which will allow any players who are getting into this theme to further decorate your farms. Yesterday’s release of Island items was the last installment of this particular theme, so if you are interested in turning your farm into a tiki paradise, make sure to pick up these Limited Edition items before they disappear from the market.

Now, one of the most exciting releases this week was the addition of rotatable buildings! Most buildings in FarmVille can now be rotated, which will allow you to decorate your farm with ease. Currently, there are some buildings that are not yet able to be rotated, but please know that we will be adding the rotation functionality to most of these items in the near future. If you would like a detailed list of what items cannot be rotated as of yet, please visit the official FarmVille Forums and check out our “updates and announcements” section for more information.

And to celebrate this long awaited and highly requested update, we have also re-released some of your favorite old Limited Edition buildings for a short time. If you missed out on some of our French Chateau items or maybe you have been dying to pick up the Adobe house… well, now is your chance. These re-released buildings will be in the Market for another 7 days.

On Wednesday, we also made some minor tweaks to the Tuscan Wedding feature that I am sure most of you will enjoy. In addition to extending the Tuscan Wedding event until June 29th, now, whenever you send any Tuscan Wedding gifts to your friends they will receive more. Instead of only sending one item per Tuscan Wedding Gift, your friends will automatically receive 2. We have also discounted the favor cost of the cake, sheep, Pig Art, Apollo Butterfly, fountain and Tower so obtaining these items should be significantly easier for everyone.

And as most of our users may know, yesterday marked FarmVille’s 1 year Anniversary! As a thank you to all of our dedicated farmers for your continuous support, a special gift was given to all of our players that can be found in your Gift Box the next time you log in. We also released the first installment of the Limited Edition Japanese theme last night, along with 7 new flags and the new Cupcake crop! The cupcake crop is a limited edition crop that is required for the new 1st anniversary co-op mission that also made an appearance with last night’s release. For anyone who may be interested, the cupcake crop is an 8 hour crop, costs 25 coins to plant, yields 60 coins when harvested and is one of the few Limited Edition crops that can be mastered.

And lastly, the wheat crop has been changed, as I mentioned a few weeks ago. The wheat crop is now a 12 hour crop, costs 13 coins to plant, gives 1 experience point and yields 61 coins when harvested. This change was made because the wheat crop will be a key component in the new Crafting Cottages feature and we did not want users having to use a multi-day crop for their first recipes.

And as with all of our big updates, we want to hear your feedback. If you have an opinion you would like to share or an idea for how you think we can improve farmville, please make sure to visit our official FarmVille forums or talk to us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/zfarmville.

Alright! On that note, it’s time for you guys to get a sneak peek of things coming to FarmVille in the near future.

So our new Japanese Garden theme will be continuing through next week, so expect to see even more Limited Edition Japanse items in the near future. This theme will also be bringing with it a new buildable Japanese Barn. The Japanese Barn will be a limited edition storage building.

We also have a new feature being released soon that our baby animal lovers will enjoy. Soon, you will be able to get piglets from your friends by rescuing an expecting lost pig.

And lastly, an all new Mystery Box will be coming next week that will have one of your favorite feathered friends from a looooong time ago in it.

Alright folks, that’s it from me this week. I will be back next Friday to give you all of the latest news and information from around the farm. Again, my name is Lexilicious and I would like to thank everyone for listening.

Happy Farming everybody!
